Cookie policy
This policy explains the browser storage and analytics technologies used on hoodhero.co.uk. The HoodHero web app at app.hoodhero.co.uk also uses storage required for authentication, security and application functionality.
1. Essential storage
The marketing website stores hh_cookie_consent_v1 in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. This is necessary to respect your privacy choice and does not track activity across websites.
2. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is completely blocked until you select “Accept analytics”. If accepted, it can set first-party identifiers such as _ga and process page views and selected link interactions. Advertising storage, Google Signals and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
Analytics helps us understand which driver, garage, pricing, store and support links are useful. We do not use marketing-site analytics to access diagnostic, vehicle, customer or workshop content.
3. Your choice
Accept and Reject are presented with equal prominence. Rejecting analytics does not reduce website or app functionality. You can reopen the banner with the Cookie settings link in the footer and change your choice.
When analytics is revoked, HoodHero disables future site event tracking and attempts to remove HoodHero analytics cookies from the browser. You can also clear site data through your browser settings.
4. Retention
The consent choice remains until you clear browser storage or change it. Google Analytics retention is controlled in the HoodHero GA4 property and should be configured to the shortest useful period.
